Project Description
To control the increasing dengue infection in Nepal, the Rotary Club of Hetauda has handed over dengue control equipment to Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan Municipality, Ward No. 10. The dengue control equipment, which has already been distributed to Ward No. 5, 6 and 8 of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City and is being distributed to other wards including Ward No. 10, will make prevention and control work effective in the infected areas.
The necessary equipment for mosquito control, fogger machines, protective clothing (PPE), and spraying sets, were handed over. Along with the handover of the equipment, technical orientation was also given on its correct use.
Club President, Pramesh Pradhan, mentioned that not only equipment, but the active role of the community is the most important in dengue control. He said that it is necessary to continue the work of cleaning houses, preventing water from stagnating, removing water accumulation in tires-drums-pots, and destroying mosquito breeding grounds.
At the handover ceremony, which was attended by Rotary Club of Hetauda Past President Indra Inepal, and office bearers, Ward No. 8, President Phuba Lama.
